This newsletter has been prepared to provide you, with information relating to the SAAFoST Congress. We look forward to welcoming you to Durban and to the Conference and wish you a pleasant trip.
Venue and Parking
Tsogo Sun Elangeni Maharani Complex - 63 Snell Parade, Durban.

This year the congress will take place at the Elangeni Maharani Complex on Durban's golden mile. The following options are available for parking during the event:

Limited undercover parking is available, on a first come first served basis, in both hotels @ R25.00 per vehicle per day.

Free municipal parking bays are available on either side of the hotel.

Overflow parking bays are available at Grosvenor Court @ R25.00 per vehicle per day.

Onsite Registration Procedures
Please bring your personal registration number and a form of ID to the registration desk on the meetings level of the Elangeni Hotel to collect your registration materials. If you are registering for the first time or paying your registration fees onsite, please report to the Onsite Registration Desk.

The Registration Desk Operating Hours will be as follows:

Sunday 6 September 15h00 - 17h00
Monday 7 September 07h00 - 18h30
Tuesday 8 September 07h00 - 17h30
Wednesday 9 September 07h00 - 16h00

Speaker Preparation Room
If you are speaking at the congress please visit the Speaker Preparation Room on the meetings level of the Elangeni Hotel, you will need to upload your presentation before you report to the meeting room you are presenting in. This should be done preferably 24 hours prior to your presentation.

The Speaker Preparation Operating Hours will be as follows:

Tea/ Coffee and lunch will be served in the Exhibition Hall.

Welcome Reception
You are invited to the SAAFoST Congress Welcome Cocktail Reception

Congress Banquet - Sponsored by Sunspray Food Ingredients
The Congress Banquet will take place in the Silver Ring room at the Greyville Racecourse.
The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Peter Bush, a former Natal Branch Chairman, Member of Council, SAAFoST Past President (1985 - 1991) and an Honorary Life Member of the Association.
Transport will be provided from the Elangeni Hotel on a return basis.

Time: 18h30 for 19h00 - 23h00
Tickets are still available at R500.00 per person. Please book tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Farewell Reception
Join us at the Ocean Breeze Restaurant at the Elangeni Hotel for the farewell reception.

A cash bar will be available.

Please contact the registration desk during the congress or the hotel reception outside of congress hours, if you have any medical emergencies.

Safety and Security
Durban is like any other major city and has good and bad areas. Common sense will ensure a trouble free and enjoyable congress. Please ensure that you look after your personal belongings during the congress.
